Didn’t want to knock it until I tried it. And when you walk into an Ikea and smell the cinnamon rolls, you can’t help but want to try it. Also, if you’re shopping at Ikea, you need to do everything you can to keep your faith in humanity going.

Thoughts that run through my head when I’m in Ikea:

“I just need to get a cheap bookshelf. That’s all I’m looking for. Nothing else.”

“How am I already stuck walking behind a family that is taking their sweet time to make it through the store??”

“This family is slowing me down enough to look around beyond bookshelves.”

“I wonder if those chairs are comfortable, I should try them out.”

“I could totally live in this 460 sq. ft. apartment.”

“Does it matter that the rest of my house is definitely not the same style as this furniture?”

“These scrub brushes are only 99 cents. I probably need 15 of them.”

“I need to buy a Swedish children’s book for every friend I know who has a child. Plus there are matching stuffed animals.”

“What was the aisle and bin number for my bookcase??”

“Meatballs. Gravy. Mashed potatoes. Jam. Sold.”
