Brunch in Chicago

After being majorly food-hungover from our meal at Spiaggia, we needed a really good brunch. The Publican was the perfect atmosphere with yummy food to bring us out of our stupor. Heads up – the bloody mary is SPICY (which I love) and comes with a little beer. We got some fries with eggs which was brilliant and I can’t believe I’d never thought of before. I had a Japanese dish with a poached egg, rice and some kind of magic fairy dust that made me feel ready to be a human again. And of course, we had a breakfast sausage that had the perfect amount of syrup on it.

The best part of The Publican is the environment. Shared tables, booths with doors, cool decor. You can’t be there and not feel happy. It was a fun recovery-spot.
